Sending healing is a powerful and widely accessible way to help others who are in need.Īs recently as February 2021, Harvard’s Making Caring Common Project reported that the global pandemic had ‘ deepened an epidemic of loneliness’, with approximately 36 percent of all Americans feeling ‘ serious loneliness. With a growing body of research to indicate that we can connect to others through the mind, why wouldn’t we? Quantum physics has taught us that everything is energy, and our mind-body connection gives us the ability to connect with other energetic fields to promote healing. There is also compelling evidence to suggest that spirituality and religious beliefs can positively impact our ability to cope, as well as providing comfort and improving mental and physical health (alongside traditional medicine.) In physics, the action at a distance theory is a concept that objects can affect each other without being near or touching it has also been referred to as entanglement, meaning a particle can ‘ know’ something about another from miles away. He cited many studies in his work, one of which was compelling evidence showing how prayer manifests as healing in laboratory experiments! In one case, Larry Dossey, M.D., discussed how prayer can speed up healing and recovery in others. In my article How Healing Thoughts Work, I discuss two studies in particular which show us the power of the mind-body connection. Studies suggest that the thoughts we send to others can have both a physical and emotional impact on wellbeing. I discuss how positive thoughts work, why they are important, and how you can get started!ĭid you know positive thoughts are more than just thoughts?
